Denton West Cricket Club



Denton West Cricket Club play in the Greene King Lancashire County League with teams from in and around Manchester. Our 1st are currently cup holders and we are the league's most successful club since its formation as we end its 21st Season. The club is ECB Club Mark accredited and runs junior cricket from year 3 up to year 13.

The club was formed from the amalgamation of Gorton Cricket Club (1848) & Reddish Cricket Club (1880) in 1934, and the name changed from Reddish & Gorton Cricket Club in 1947 following council boundary changes. Cricket has been played on the ground we currently use since 1880 and since 1947 we have played in the North Western Cricket League, The Lancashire & Cheshire Cricket League (from 1973) and the Lancashire County League (from 1994).
