Denton West Cricket Club play in the Greater Manchester Cricket League. The club is ECB Club Mark accredited and runs junior cricket from school year 3 up to year 13, and into open age competition.

The club was formed from the amalgamation of Gorton Cricket Club (1848) & Reddish Cricket Club (1880) in 1934, and the name changed from Reddish & Gorton Cricket Club in 1947 following council boundary changes.

Cricket has been played on the ground we currently use since 1880 and since 1947 we have played in the North Western Cricket League, The Lancashire & Cheshire Cricket League (from 1973) and the Lancashire County League (from 1994).
